Medical Information

Medical Needs

On your child's admission form to Seaside, you will have noted any medical condition. Please notify the school if this changes in any way.

If your child suffers from asthma, a separate form is required. You will also need to complete an administration form for the appropriate inhaler.

For health and safety reasons, medicines in school are kept to a minimum. There may be a time when your child will need to have medicine during the school day e.g. to complete a course of antibiotics.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD IN WITH MEDICINE, it will not be given without the consent form. It may also get into the wrong hands if you put it in your child's bag.

You will need to bring the medicine into school office yourself and complete the necessary form.

The only medicine that can be given to the children without a prescription is Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and antihistamines.

You will notice a section on our new enrolment form regarding Calpol. If you chose to give your consent for Calpol, we will of course ALWAYS contact you first and the dose will be checked by TWO of our staff and a record kept.

All forms are available from the school office or can be downloaded from the link below.

If you have any queries about medication, please do not hesitate to contact the school on the number below or by email.

Thank you.
